Bio

Christine Weege is an independent piano instructor in Germantown, Wisconsin.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in Music degree from Mount Mary University.  She has taught both private piano lessons and group classes in her home studio since 1986, and has been an active adjudicator since 2000.  In addition, Christine has been a guest speaker for Milwaukee Music Teachers Association and Cardinal Stritch University’s Piano Pedagogy Class.

Christine is a member of the Milwaukee Music Teachers Association (MMTA), Milwaukee Area Piano Teachers Association (MAPTA), and Wisconsin Music Teachers Association (WMTA) which is affiliated with Music Teachers National Association (MTNA).  She is the past President of Milwaukee Music Teachers Association, and is currently the Honors Audition Director for Milwaukee Area Piano Teachers Association.

Christine’s teaching style, curriculum, and approach are flexible and varied in order to match each student’s learning style.  Initiative and self-direction in lessons are emphasized, and exploration and creativity are encouraged.  Piano study demands discipline, patience, and tedious work on the part of the student.  She sincerely hopes that the combination of her teaching and the parents encouragement and discipline at home will make studying piano a positive experience, one that will result in a lifetime of enjoyment and appreciation of music.
